imma put this mini rant here about the 127 comeback. My blog is Misc at this point but I know who ever is left is not here for kpop sdfg imma probably delete this later. Maybe not  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I agree that things should have been better planned for the comeback showcase last night. Mics weren’t working, the venue was over capacity, people in the A and B sections were passing out due to the heat. The members went from having fun to being worried and vigilant over the fans very quickly into the event.  I agree that the misprint of the Digipack version should have been caught BEFORE it was ever printed. I agree that the gap between comebacks could feel discouraging for some (even tho 127 has been doing fall comebacks for a bit now. Just like dream has been doing summer so this just follows what’s BEEN going on. They’re older groups now. Expecting multiple comebacks a year when they really do not need to is confusing to me idk). I agree that what feels like a very disorganized schedule, especially in terms of concerts, is hard on both 127 and fans. I also agree that the pivot with 127 this year to merch first, while fun at the start, quickly becomes overwhelming and was a speed run to burn out fans possibly affecting the spending behavior for the ACTUAL comeback. Each drop causing more distress than excitement (speaking from experience and from all the others I follow. Lol imma be taking a merch break for a bit me thinks). 

But the one thing that I keep stumbling upon is the take that “127 should leave SM”. AND while I get that people are bummed and only want to lift the neos up, thinking that them ~leaving~ SM is going to fix or change anything for them have jack shit knowledge of how all this shit works. You’d be halting solo careers before they’ve started. Canceling the solos of those that have started. Ripping apart NCT from the core. Ripping apart Dream as soon as they’ve really gotten to preform together again. Making moot all the hard work they’ve all put in since they were teens and middle schoolers. You are also assuming that they hate it there. Johnny’s been there since before some of the peeps making these takes were born or as LONG as. He had many an opportunity to leave but he’s stayed (I can think of other examples but idk there's something there). It’s a company. Nothing is going to go perfectly as we and NCT may hope for it to be. Yeah, feeling burn out is something I can emphasize with and is apparent in some of their words. Feeling frustration over how events or the lack of events have been handled is valid. Them feeling discouraged over past promotion of songs they may not all have been fond of is valid. But telling 127 to leave SM is telling 127 and NCT to dissolve. It is not the solution you think it is. Without company backing providing all the resources, staff, writers and producers, production staff, worldwide opportunities and connections. THEY COULDNT and WOULDNT EXIST. And idk if this is coming from teens or whatever but I don’t think you understand what you’re asking for. 

Going back to what I said above about 127 doing Fall comebacks. They are a 6 year old group. They’re well established and are in the state in their career where they don’t NEED to be working their asses off year round. Johnny said so himself that for the most part they’ve been able to relax more. Isn’t that a GOOD thing? They’re older idols, expecting them to promote like rookies or how they did in 2018 is frankly stupid. They’ve put in the work already. AND what we see is only the results, especially with NCT you KNOW multiple projects are being worked on at he same time, as well as individual activities. They have to puzzle in schedules to make shit work. And if you think they’re doing fuck all on a consistent basis you’re wrong.

tldr:

I get feeling a bit frustrated and upset that things feel disorganized but jumping to wishing 127 left SM equates to saying you don’t want ANY 127 or NCT. Its dumb and not a real solution.

it’s an idea i’ve already had because i can’t come up with anything right now dksjfgbd, but

once i made a druid for a D//N/D-based CRPG who only cast spells when they gave him something edible (in theory ofc, the game didn’t let me eat my summoned bears... thankfully...), so i ended up with nothing but goodberries and several animal summoning spells. then i proceeded to cheat my way through the game, which defeated the point sdfgsd, but it was still fun concept-wise

also made me spend too much time wondering if the entangle spell’s vines could be eaten. i mean you can’t eat the WHOLE thing but maybe you could like, munch on it a little, or try to slurp it up like a noodle. it wouldn’t be tasty, it wouldn’t be easy, and it most definitely would not be healthy, but it’s like. the principle of the thing

ideal ending for one of my characters:

hmmmm for like, original fiction characters i more or less have all their endings planned out? most of them ARE ideal because i am fully in control of their destinies and i am also a softhearted lidle bich who prefers stories with relatively uplifting/happy endings. or tbh even the ones that aren’t technically happy are still ideal in terms of character arcs, development, etc

(i might be giving myself way too much credit there though skdjgbdksjfg)

and —though this is super unlikely and mostly just me deceiving myself at this point— i do want to publish what i’m working on rn, so talking about endings would be a spoiler for something that does not exist and probably never will outside of my idiot fool head. so i’m gonna talk about an old OC that i’m not doing anything with anymore!

her name was elina and her entire deal was that she came from a family of very powerful witches who owned a, uh, i guess you could call it an archive? or a library?? idk, it was just an ABSURDLY large collection of magic-related books, and it pretty much contained all known arcane knowledge (though come think of it, “all known arcane knowledge” can’t have been THAT much because the archive was just one room. a huge fucking monster of a room yeah but like. still just One)

so anyway, her family members were very dutiful + responsible when it came to the archivelibraryroom thing, but they were also too traditional for her tastes? like they didn’t bother practicing/using magic, or experimenting, or looking for anything outside of books; they only cared about written things, and even then they did nothing but get the Very Important Books, put them in the archivelibraryroom and forget about them completely

then elina ran into a group of other magic-users who were investigating a weird phenomenon in her hometown, and she asked her family about it, but they essentially were like “oh if it doesn’t affect the books we don’t care lol anyway it’s your turn to clean the archivelibrary now”

but yeah i’m sure y’all can tell where this is going kjdfgbd elina was the typical YA protag in that she was super rebellious, so she turned her back on her family and left her house to help the group of inconveniently yet stereotypically teenage magic-users, made friends, learned about magic, blah blah blah

the issue is that i never gave that story an ending? like the closest thing to it was a vague “uhhhh elina goes back home to find the archivelibrary is burning down and pulls some kind of mysterious water magic out of her ass to save it; then her family apologizes, they begin to respect her and she stays with them to keep caring for the archivelibrary, But With A Progressive Twist”

the issue was that after writing around two chapters i realized i didn’t actually Have a plot, so i didn’t know what story that ending would be... ending... and since i couldn’t think of anything + i wasn’t THAT attached to the characters anyway i just gave up on it

but now that i’m thinking of it again, just for the sake of ending the Story That Never Was, i feel like making her earn the respect of her family just because she saved the books + proved she actually cares about that too is, idk, shallow? out of character? 

because she believed that her family’s fixation on history + Neatly Documented stuff was holding them back and making things worse for everyone. she left her home behind because her ideals re.: magic —that it should grow and change to fit the context + people’s needs, and not the other way around— were so strong

OOF THIS IS GETTING SO FUCKING LONG KSDJGB i’m just gonna stop here and say: elina’s new ideal ending is pretty much that while she ends up in friendly terms with her family —because, in spite of their fundamental disagreements, they never hurt her— she doesn’t go back home and chooses to travel around the world instead, helping people in whichever way possible and freely sharing her knowledge with anyone who’s willing to listen and, at the same time, learning from them

i mean, the concept’s not too original ksjdbg just something i thought of super quick, and that’s just a half-assed attempt at closure for an OC i made when i was like… 9

headcanons about my favs:

ok this one’s hard because i’m not into any like… fandom things right now? i haven’t found anything that rly interests me or that i could see myself being passionate about, which sucks because i do kinda miss being into stuff with Established Content :( 

so i’ve been focusing on my OCs + original stories and such. and i’m not sure if OC headcanons count as headcanons because i control canon so technically everything i come up with IS canon. then again it’s headcanon too because it’s a canon from my head because that’s where ideas come from. okay wait i’m not making any cents here x

askull4everyoccasion: Ooooo beabaseball: Sans wants to take the direct route and lead an armed force Papyrus thinks there shouldn't need to be a rebellion at all and they can fix thigns somehow else??? maybe the king can just be reasoned with?? so they have a feud over it Sans still remembers Doc better than Papyrus does askull4everyoccasion: Is the king still being an ass or fighting others? beabaseball: the wars settled down but without a royal doctor to put the blame on it's been getting harder to scapegoat? So he also trots over to the nearest neighboring kingdom happens to be Toriel's Kingdom and promises her some of the land along the borders if she and her troops help his rebellion usurp Andorfus askull4everyoccasion: Oooo beabaseball: and Toriel's kingdom's been beaten pretty black and blue by the King's before, so she's like fuckin down for this shit VENGENCE askull4everyoccasion: Hahaha beabaseball: so the time finally comes to do the attack in hte cpaital and Toriel just basically asks for a meeting with Andorfus for political reasons and brings an army with her sans probably had a plan to call Papyrus away but something went wrong askull4everyoccasion: Oh no beabaseball: and instead of Papyrus being at the Wall and far from fucking anywhere he's in the capital askull4everyoccasion: Oh nooooo beabaseball: with the leader of the Royal Guard, Undyne she's had him transferred to her unit just recently enough to fuck up Sans' plan and Papyrus has been talking a lot to people askull4everyoccasion: Uh oh beabaseball: and he's not very charismatic or very well spoken when it comes to persuasion beabaseball: but he's earnest and endearing, and he honestly believes he's doing the right thing when he does something and that makes Undyne loyal and by extension Papyrus has a small group of Undyne's followers who are also following him askull4everyoccasion: Ooooo beabaseball: so as much as Undyne's duty is to protect the King and etc she's also heeding Papyrus' wish to not harm the attackers and especially to not harm the short, low-HP skeleton whose CHECK reads some pretty weird shit so it's pretty fucked up and that's when the King comes out askull4everyoccasion: Hahaha beabaseball: and hte King isn't?? really good at sparing people??? in his defense he was once a one-man wall against the humans in the war askull4everyoccasion: Lol beabaseball: and learned to never show mercy back then because that's how you SURVIVED so Andorfus comes out and like it turns from this fight between revolutionaries who have a lot of differnet motives but aren't trained and the well trained amy unit under Undyne to this fight beteen a bunch of revolutionaries trying to save thier own skins (understandable) and the King who at this point seems to have guards mostly to protect his assassins (i should note: the dogs LISTEN to Undyne and love her so like... being eaten alive is much less of a problem now) but then like askull4everyoccasion: Haha beabaseball: this means we get a fight between Andorfus of the bajillion HP and 1 HP sans askull4everyoccasion: Holy shit Bone dog time? beabaseball: see like I'm not sure!!! MY CLASS RING!!! so I went to my state’s blind school so it was rlly rlly small so nobody ever passed out class rings. I could basicall get whatever the hell i wanted on it. so the gem in the middle is a ruby,theres a lion on the side, and on the other side is supposed to be our school colors but i change that. I’m a slytherin and there was no way in hell I was going to have Hufflepuff colors on my class ring (sorry AJAW Apollo and KLavier…). so since our mascot is a lion, I got gryffindors’ because at least it made a little sense.
